To deliver quality healthcare to more than 1.5 million people that call the metro Denver communities home, HealthONE employs nearly 9,000 health care professionals and 3,000 affiliated physicians. And while we work in facilities across the region, we're a team at HealthONE. We recognize the valuable contributions each of our staff members make to our work. Service-Oriented
We believe care shouldn't begin or end at our doors. HealthONE supports and encourages volunteer community efforts throughout Colorado and other areas of the country that are in need of assistance.
Here are a few ways HealthONE employees have helped those in need:
- In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, several HealthONE employees, including one doctor who helped deliver evacuees' babies, offered aid to those who desperately needed medical care.
- Employees also donated supplies and took up collections for Hurricane victims.
- HealthONE and its employees have contributed more than $8 million to more than 200 community nonprofit organizations.
Hurricane IKE
When the Gulf Coast was devastated by Hurricane Ike, HealthONE nurses, respiratory therapists and pharmacists were quick to respond with their time and efforts, helping medical facilities whose own staff members were exhausted and worried about the safety of their families and homes. The swift response of our professionals—over 100 from our region alone—allowed the staff at affected facilities to sleep and handle family duties, so they could return to their patients refreshed and ready to provide the safest patient care.

"I was stationed at a hospital between Houston and Galveston. There were no other hospitals open for 40 miles—every other facility was flooded or had no electricity. We saw an incredible number of people. Nearly 20 of us stayed in a conference room in the hospital, on cots. We worked with staff members that were worried about their home and families on the outside, but cared for their patients with so much dedication. I was proud to help them."
