Description

I. Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke's Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the clinical director, operates the x-ray equipment for lithotripsy and endourology, assists with the operation of the lithotripter, operates laser at direction of treating physician and assists the urologist as necessary. Must be capable of moving lithotripsy equipment, driving truck and setting up same as is needed along mobile route. Responsible for confidentiality of all patient information regardless of setting. Confidentiality is also required for employee issues and sensitive organizational information. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Applicant must be a registered radiologic technologist in good standing and have a good driving record with no tickets in the last two years. Candidate must be able to operate the fluoro equipment for lithotripsy and Endourology as necessary and must be capable of driving large truck and moving lithotripsy equipment, setting up same as is needed along mobile route. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications::

I. Position Requirements:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must be ARRT registered. Must possess and maintain appropriate license for driving a transport truck. BLS required.

B. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. AAS preferred. Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.

C. Experience: Minimum two years experience as registered technologist. Fundamental knowledge of computers preferred.

D. Special Qualifications: Must be able to demonstrate communication skills appropriate to the individual(s) involved. Must be able to demonstrate positive problem-solving techniques. Must be to able to drive truck in varying conditions including but not limited to heavy traffic, inclement weather and night time hours.
